Whether you attended one of the 2011-2012 Couch to Finish 5k training clinics, or have been running on your own, you can attend the Winter Half Marathon Training.
If you can run 3 miles 3 times a week, you can join us for this!
We will start on December 29th, 2012. Group long runs will be held every Saturday* at 10am for 20 weeks, building up to 12 miles just in time to complete the Cleveland Rite Aid Half Marathon on May 19, 2013. We will also meet occasionally during the week for hill training and/or speedwork. During our training, we will run one or 2 local, shorter races as practice/tune-up, including the Spring Classic 10 Miler in April. *Some runs will be on Sunday, depending on scheduling conflicts. A second, Sunday clinic may be added if the Saturday one fills up.
Whether you are a first timer, or you’ve run a half marathon in the past, a training program can be developed for you! We traditionally have people of all paces at the group run, so that no one has to run alone. So either get out there and run your first 13.1, or train to demolish your best time in your 2nd, 3rd or 4th!
Included in this program will be:
- Training plan designed for this program (your choice of 3 days or 4)
- Unlimited email and text access to an RRCA Certified Running Coach
- Discounts at local running stores
- Saturday/Sunday group runs for your weekly long run, so you don’t have to do it alone!
The program lasts 20 weeks and the cost is just $75. You can’t beat $3.75 a week for this kind of training and camaraderie!
